There are larger photos of each generation if you follow the link. You have to wonder at what point the jumps between ‘generations’ will stop being human-powered - when the engineering improvements will either be selected by Genetic Algorithm or Neural Network improvement or some other form of AI, or whether the generations following will simply self-improve in software and humans will be left just designing the shells.
